Not Me! Monday

This is something super fun that I came across today.

I most certainly did not eat a Reese's Cup, a mini bag of M&M's, a mini bag of Tedddy Grams, and a box of Nerds for lunch! :)

I am not desperately in need of a shower nor do I still have on my pajamas(neither does T).

I am not in awe at how sweet my Turner is. (he was not more than willing to help clean the house today.)

AND...

I am most definitely NOT obsessed with my Uggs!

Check out MckMama's blog for other Not Me! Monday posts.

Our New President

"Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." Romans 13:1

Okay, so I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed about the outcome of the election. Anyone who has the pleasure of knowing me (ha) knows I would have never voted for Obama...NEVER. As a Christian, I disagree with everything he stands for...EVERYTHING.

I must admit, in the weeks prior to the election I was having a hard time. Every time I saw an Obama supporter horrible thoughts went through my head and usually came directly out of my mouth (Anyone who has the pleasure of knowing me (ha) also knows that is probably my biggest weakness...verbal vomit I guess you could say.)

Over the past week my God has softened my heart. Our pastor spoke Sunday, about the election and his main point was that our Lord is sovereign. He has supreme rank...not Barack Obama, not John McCain. God has allowed Obama to be appointed as president of our country and as a follower of Christ I find comfort in knowing that our Sovereign Lord has a plan. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8 He has always known who was going to be our president, after all He put him there!

It is my duty as a Christian to submit myself to the authority of our new president and it is my prayer that God will help me keep my attitude in check. Let's pray for Barack Obama (he's going to need it) and who knows, Our Sovereign Lord might just change his heart!

Last time I checked, Barack Obama isn't in control of my joy. I will be JOYFUL in God my Savior!

Coloring With Nana

The Entire Month of October...Whew!

A few quick randoms...

AC got a new pair of Uggs...She LOVES them.

Turner got his first report card...it was perfect!

Now for all of our fall festivities...

Our neighborhood had a block party...AC wanted to go down the slide again and again and again.

We went to a pumpkin patch...(Becky made their shirts. Aren't they great?)

and then came home and painted our pumpkins.

This will become a new tradition because everyone (even Chad) thought this was a lot of fun!

We went to the Fall Festival at church...

Turner with his "girlfriend" Julia...They are really great friends!

Yum!...Cotton Candy

I have more pictures of AC then I do of T...He was to busy with his friends. SAD!

And finally trick-0r-treating...

This picture makes me smile!

What a strong Batman!

Ready to trick-or-treat

Aren't they cute?

The older he gets, the more he looks like me.

Our first stop of the night.

The kids with their loot!

What a fun-filled month! Anna Cate was completely into Halloween this year...she LOVED wearing her costume. Turner, of course, thought he looked super cool...and he was right!

A Quick and Random Update

It's been forever since I've blogged, but I have a good excuse. Our computer died...it completely crashed. Thankfully the super duper smart computer guy in Montgomery was able to get EVERYTHING off of our hardrive...including our pictures...I was FREAKING OUT abou the pictures! Yay!

We still have no computer. We will probably be getting one this weekend. I'm am using our neighbors, right now, as we speak :) Thanks Josh and Alisha! (We've been using their computer EVERYDAY...so thankful for wonderful neighbors!) Crazy how much we depend on our computer...

Anyway, nothing too exciting has been going on. Just the usually school, soccer, church stuff. Turner WAS sick but got over it very quickly, Chad has been working like a maniac (his work ethic amazes me), T, AC, and I went to Prattville for a few days (that's always fun...I miss my family).

My Parents had an anniversary on the 4th. I'm so thankful for their marriage...What amazing examples I've had! My nephew Ben had a birthday on the 5th...I can't believe that kid is 8, WOWZA!

AC does something new each and everyday. The girl is hilarious...seriously. She never, ever sits still (well unless she's eating) and she ridiculously loud (wonder where she gets that from?) Our kids have no shot at being quiet or meek. Have you met both me AND Chad?

Last week, Chad asked AC to do something and she said NO! (she loves that word) Chad then said...What did you just say to me? and she, realizing he was angry, thought about it a minute then said...THANK YOU? Told you she was funny!

Turner is still, of course, the smartest kid in his class. He amazes us all the time...he has such a mathematical brain...just like his daddy!

Also, I have been running a ton lately. I'm getting pretty good at it and I'm loving it!!! It is crazy addicting...I love that feeling of accomplishment...when I go further then I thought I could...It's awesome. I'm training to run either a 10k or a half marathon on January 9th...we'll see. Never thought, in a million years, I'd be a runner. Oh and I'm trying to quit drinking Coke...it's my favorite thing in the whole world. I've always known it was bad for me but I just read a book (thanks Becky for ruining my life) and in it there was an entire chapter about how not only is it bad for you...but it's HORRIBLE for you. Yuck! We'll see how it goes...I really LOVE Coke!

I have lots of new pictures of the kiddos to post but I can't do that until we get a computer...I'm sure you can't wait. :)

Oh and I'm reading the book, Jesus, The One and Only by Beth Moore. If you haven't read it...do so...now. It is unreal, she really gets you to use your imagination. I'm learning so much about my Jesus.

Ta-ta for now and WAR EAGLE! (even if we are terrible...I love the tigers)

We Have a Soccer Player Ladies and Gentlemen!

Turner's first soccer game was this morning and he totally dominated! He did awesome, scoring 4 goals and blocking 2 goals as goalie. He's always the first to the ball and is such an aggressive defensive player. It was really fun watching him play and you could tell he was having so much fun too. Yay for our little athlete!

Breakfast with Daddy

Just a cute pic of AC eating breakfast with her Daddy....school mornings are so early!
