To Blog Or Not To Blog...

So, I'm guessing, because I'm really important and everyone is dying to know what I'm going to write about next, (AHEM...yeah right) you've noticed that I haven't blogged in over a month.

Here's the thing...I'm pretty sure that I'm not in love with this whole blogging thing. I think it's super fun to read the blogs of friends and there are a few that I'm even obsessed with...i.e...the sister-in-law's...let's be honest...she's hilarious.

I'm not a writer...in fact...I've decided that it bores me to tears. I would much rather be having a tea party with AC or playing cards with T.

So...

Farewell blogging world. The Friday family is out! Holla! :)

AC and I just had a fight over a trash can.

I walked in our bedroom to find her with our trash can (it just sits by the desk, waiting for junk mail...not too gross...but gross) on her head.

This is how our conversation went...

Me: GROSS! Get the trash can off your head!

AC: NO! I wan twash can on my head! Now she's running from me singing a song she's made up about said "twash" can on her head.

Me: Put the trash can down...NOW!

AC: Okay (in a sad pitiful voice) as she puts the trash can down.

Me: Put it back where you found it please.

AC: I wanna put twash can wight here.

Me: Anna Cate...

AC: EXTREME melt down...I mean baby llama, red pajama FIT!

Now, she's screaming in her bed.

Oh the joy of a 2-year-old princess!

A Smorgasbord of Sorts

It's been almost a month since I last blogged. (I know how disappointed you all must have been...HA!) Sorry, but t-ball has ruled our lives. It's crazy how much ball a 6 year old plays. It's definitely T's favorite sport and he's loving every minute of it. He's even been awarded 3 game balls...we're so proud of how well he's done! It's kept us very busy...fo sho!

I keep picturing my life in just a few years...when AC's around T's age. I think I'm always on the go now, but it's only going to get worse. AC's going to start dance next year and I'm sure that's just the beginning. I so did not picture myself being such a typical stay-at-home mom, but God did. I wouldn't have it any other way...not a chance! What a blessing to be able to be so constant in their lives...I know it makes them feel secure.

I never posted anything about our Easter. It was wonderful, of course. It's
probably my favorite holiday...I love everything about it. We were in Prattville for the weekend and had lots of fun with my family. And, of course, we ate WAY too much. Hallelujah! Jesus is alive!

T and I having been begging, literally begging, Chad to let us get a dog. He FINALLY gave in. I found our sweet doggie on Craigslist. He had a great family, but they've been traveling a lot. It made them sad to keep putting him in kennels, so they decided to find him a new family...US!

Odie is a 3 year old beagle...so cute! He's absolutley perfect for our family, and although he's destroyed EVERY set of blinds in our house (Yay for me...I get new blinds), we love him. T and AC adore him and he adores them. Even when AC is pestering the crap out of him, he just sits there and takes it. He's such a sweet boy.

March Madness

We've been potty training AC and she's actually been doing well. She LOVES picking out her princess panties. She knows when she needs to go. Really, the only accidents she's had are in the bathroom when she can't quite make it to the potty. She's completely ready...I just don't know if I'm completely ready. Diapers are way convenient and I'm lazy. :)

What at big girl!
------------------------------
We had T's birthday party this weekend. Yes, I know he's been 6 for over a month. T and his best buddy Will wanted a camping party. We chose to have it closer to Will's birthday so the weather would be warmer.

It, hands down, was the best birthday party T has ever had! Imagine 7 boys and most of their daddy's doing what boys do. They played football and basketball, ate lots of junk food, made smores, had an Easter egg hunt using flashlights, and slept in a tent. Everyone even, somehow, made it to church this morning. :) So much fun!

Thank you Heather and Joe for having it at your house!

I took tons of pictures and it would take way too long to post them all, so...

this is all you get. :) Aren't they handsome?! I'm so thankful for T's friends.
------------------------------
Spring is finally here and with Spring comes Easter. Yay! Spring and Easter are my favorites! The beauty of God's Earth is unreal during Spring...love it.

A sweet couple in our S.S. class had a wonderful Easter egg hunt today. Best Easter egg hunt I've ever been to! The weather was perfect, the land was beautiful, and the kids had a ridiculous amount of fun. It was such a great day.

There was so much to do. They had an egg hunt for the little and big kids. T is an egg hunting pro and AC was adorable. She loved it, in fact she didn't put her basket down all day. The Easter bunny came...AC wasn't a fan! "No bunny! No bunny!...hey bunny." There was also face painting, cookie decorating, hayrides, and a bouncy house. It was so wonderful.

What a fabulous weekend! We're exhausted. :)

A Busy, Busy Month

It's almost been a month since I've updated my blog. I know how sad you all must be...HA! We've actually been very busy and any free moment I did have, I had no desire to sit at the computer and write. Anyway...

February has been a fun month with lots going on. We helped T build a car for the Awana Grand Prix. Actually Chad pretty much did everything...T did help sand and paint it. I just tried to make it look cool. We decided to use Romans 6:23 as our theme. It turned out great and we had fun doing it. T came in 4th overall...We'll win next year...If you know Chad, you know why. :)

The weekend of Valentine's Day we were heading to Prattville to celebrate T's birthday with our family. We would be in Prattville on Valentine's Day so we celebrated on Friday. While T was at school and AC was taking a nap, I cut out a hundred red, pink, and purple hearts and put them all over our house. Then I put together a little scavenger hunt. Yes, I copied Jon and Kate Plus 8. T and AC were really excited about all the decorations and T could hardly wait to do the scavenger hunt. I made them wait until Chad got home. :) T is learning to read so it was lots of fun.

AC never lets me take a good picture of her.

When we got to Prattville Saturday afternoon it was time to celebrate T's birthday. Grandaddy grilled hotdogs and hamburgers...Nana and Papa even came. We ate cake, opened presents, and played outside by the fire.

Sunday we met Chad's family at the Selma country club to celebrate Maw-Maw's 80th birthday.

This past Saturday we took the kids to the Mardi Gras parade. We had never been and the kids thought it was lots of fun. We were supposed to meet friends, but couldn't make it on time due to T-Ball practice.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
It had been a long day.

We've had other stuff going on as well. T has been playing Upward basketball at our church and Chad is helping coach. T-Ball started last week and T has practice 3 times a week. Chad is also helping coach t-ball. Chad and I went to our S.S. class's Valentine's Banquet. It was lots of fun and we won the newlywed game. :) I've been going to Bible Study ever Tuesday morning and volunteering at Samaritan Hands every Thursday morning. I LOVE working at Samaritan Hands...it's our churches ministry for the homeless and less fortunate. Oh and I just joined a Bunko group...so fun! We are so thankful that God has blessed us with such a WONDERFUL church family. It's definitely an answered prayer.

My SWEET boy turns 6 tomorrow...6! It's crazy. We have a fun weekend planned to celebrate. I'll post pictures soon.

Three Things

1.So this is AC's new favorite thing to wear...everyday. She thinks she looks "petty". "I pincess...petty pincess". I just love how she's such a girl! Thanks Uncle Inky, Aunt Carrie, and "Ansey".

She's showing me her tiara.

2. AC pee-peed on the potty today. I haven't done the pee-pee on the potty dance in 3 years...just as fun as I remembered. AC thought it was big fun too. A-woo-hoo! We're so excited she's showing interest in the big girl potty. We'll be buying big girl panties and M&M's this week...she is going to love picking out her panties. I'll be needing patience in the days and weeks to come...prayers please :)

3. Guitar Hero is a HUGE deal in our house. We're all obsessed...especially T. He's allowed to play for an hour each day...usually it's with his daddy. As of last night T is officially doing his "hard career" and he's already beaten 6 songs...on hard. I can't beat 1 song on hard. The kid's hand/eye coordination is incredible and his love for music is contagious. We hope to get him in piano lessons soon...we just need a piano to somehow fit in our 1200 sq. ft. house. HA! Maybe we'll start with a keyboard. Also T's back to wanting his hair long...ya know with him wanting to be a rock star and all.

Our Visit From the Paci Fairy

No more pacifiers at our house. The paci fairy came last night and quietly took them away. I hope she made it safely to Aunt Carrie, Uncle Inky, and Ansleigh's house AND I hope Ansleigh is enjoying her donated pacifiers. :)

We've been telling AC all week that Friday night was going to be the night. She was such a big girl and barely even cried. "I big gul...Ansey baby" is what she kept saying. I am so proud and a little sad. I'm not loving the whole "big gul" thing. Tear...

AC Got a New...

Kitchen!

We can't get her away from it...even T thought it was fun (for a couple of minutes). Thanks Grandmommy and Grandaddy!

Our Week with Nana and Papa

Sporting their new princess night gowns.
Her first set of pigtails
Looking out the window of our condo in NC
All bundled up...it was fa-reezing.

T was the man. He did so great and LOVED it.

After a couple of days at Nana and Papa's we packed up and headed to North Caroline. Skiing is a Friday family tradition and we were thrilled that T enjoyed it so much.

Our Christmas Vacation was so busy and we loved every minute of it. Happy New Year!!!
